“Lonzo Ball is the best passing point guard in all of America.”
Despite his father, LaVar, taking most of the headlines these days as the UCLA Bruins prepare to play the no. 2 Kentucky Wildcats on Friday, Clay Travis believes his son Lonzo is every bit as good as his father makes him out to be, even in the extreme hyperbole LaVar likes to speak in.
Travis even goes so far to say he thinks Lonzo is the best passer in basketball, at the moment, not just in college basketball, but in the NBA as well.
“Lonzo Ball makes you play at his pace, which is something it usually takes years for point guards to reach,” Travis said after he predicted Ball as the first player taken in the upcoming NBA Draft. “There’s a lot of athletic point guards who can get up the floor really fast, but Lonzo Ball is a lot like Jason Kidd and he’s a lot like Steve Nash, where not only is he able to run the offense, but he can controls the pace of everybody around him.”
