At 18 years old and equipped with the natural ability to make a very lucrative living for your family playing sports, no individual in our country should be kept from pursuing a professional career if capable. That means high school basketball products should not have to go to college for one season to fit a requirement.
However, if they do choose to go to college and play in the NCAA, they should face the same three-year requirement that NFL players do. This will allow for fan bases to feel loyal to their players, keep the sport at the highest level, and dump ready-made players into the NBA.
