Last night's National Championship game featured some big shots, controversial moments, and what seems to be the two best teams in all of college basketball. Unfortunately for everyone involved, the conversation after the game without a doubt HAS to be about the officiating and what a horrendous job the referees did for the entire 40 minutes of play.
With 22 fouls called on each team, prominent players fouling out during early stages, and a blown call at the end swinging the tide the referees managed to screw up every facet of the operation. Ben Maller has had just about enough of that for now.
It's been a rampant problem in college basketball for quite some time, but not a soul has done anything about it in the NCAA offices. Ben Maller asks why and poses some serious problems the entire system could encounter if this is not addressed.
