The University of Texas needed a change of culture. They needed someone to come in and provide the opposite of what Charlie Strong was able to bring. Where Strong was a player's coach who the guys loved, they failed to produce on Saturdays. They need someone they sometimes hate, who scares them a bit. Tom Herman is that guy.

Holding people accountable is the best way to start to change the culture. He has a chance to do this with a clean slate in year one, and it's happening. You will start to see these young coaches across the NCAA and NFL who aren't afraid to be strict and make waves. These coaches have won since the beginning of time.
It's about time someone gets back to coaching like that at Texas.
