Thirty-one isn’t exactly the sexiest age for an NFL running back these days, but Jeffrey Gorman thinks the Raiders can certainly siphon ‘Beast Mode’ out of newly acquired Marshawn Lynch if they use him the right way.
Obviously not an every down option anymore for the Super Bowl dreaming Raiders, Gorman thinks the team should keep Lynch out until October to make sure he’s ready for the stretch run of the season for a team clearly thinking bigger picture.
Even though no one is expecting 1,000 yards and 10 touchdowns again, Gorman believes Lynch can still be just as formidable as he was in his peak years in Seattle if used in small servings.
