How Did Mike D'Antoni Lose Control of His Team?

posted by Outkick the Coverage with Clay Travis -

The Rockets REALLY didn't show up for Game 6 against the Spurs.

Clay Travis isn't one to normally point the finger at a head coach for a bad game, but the Rockets performance in a closeout Game 6 against the Spurs was so bad, you have to wonder...how did Mike D'Antoni lose control of this team?

Look at THAT!!!!

While snapshots often don't tell the whole story, that is an incredible looking shot with D'Antoni slumped in his chair like that, looking defeated at halftime. We saw the Celtics come back from 15 down at home twice in three nights and the Rockets looked ready for a trip to Cancun at halftime of a series they were probably the better team in when Kawhi was injured.

What an egg. Clay Travis tries to figure it all out in the audio below. Listen here.
