The Cleveland Cavaliers parted ways with general manager David Griffin yesterday afternoon, just three days before the NBA Draft and hours after Griffin had begun engaging the Chicago Bulls in a trade for All-Star shooting guard Jimmy Butler.
The move sent shock waves through the NBA world, and seemed to take Cavaliers superstar LeBron James by complete surprise. A few hours after the news broke LeBron sent out a tweet indicating how much he appreciated his former general manager, even if no one else did. The tweet seemed to suggest that there's an obvious disconnect between Cavaliers ownership (Dan Gilbert) and management/players (Griffin and LeBron).
What's going on in Cleveland? Is LeBron still at odds with Dan Gilbert? Would The King really leave Cleveland, again?
Clay Travis says the drama coming out of The Land should come as a surprise to absolutely no one. Controversy seems to follow LeBron James wherever he goes, so why would the 2017 Cavaliers be any any different?
