Mike D'Antoni won NBA Coach of the Year last night after leading the Rockets to their best finish in some time, shattering their projected wins total and giving James Harden a legitimate MVP case. The system D'Antoni put in place allowed for his players to thrive, and the team won a playoff series in the process.
One problem though, as Mike D'Antoni leaves the huddle for defensive conversation, and is on the record saying it doesn't matter in the current game.
The world is ending. A coach who doesn't believe in defense won Coach of the Year.
