Aaron Rodgers Says He Now Refuses to Partake in All NFL 'Mic'd Up' Segments

Dan Patrick: “Sam Darnold was mic’d up last night and I was railing against the Jets that they would mic him up against the Patriots as a second year quarterback. Can you turn down being mic’d up in a game?”
Aaron Rodgers: “Oh yea, definitely. I do all the time. Sometimes you think it could be fun to look back down the line. Brett was mic’d up in the game where he passed Marino in touchdowns and it’s some pretty cool audio. I haven’t been mic’d up in a while. I feel like it’s a little invasive at times. ESPN's is Live and they can play it quickly. The NFL Films ones they can go back and cut it, and they’re not watching real time and putting it up on the TV. I think that puts you in a tough spot.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers comment on the now-infamous Mic’d Up segment with New York Jets quarterback Sam Darnold, where he said on the sidelines that he was ‘seeing ghosts’ on the field, during New York’s humiliating 33-0 drubbing at the hands of the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football.

Darnold finished the game with one of the lowest QBR scores in the history of the 13-year quarterback sabermetric, going 11/32 for 86 yards, zero touchdowns, four interceptions, and one lost fumble.

Many in the media were critical of the Jets and Adam Gase for even letting Darnold be Mic’d Up for the game, as Gase said after the embarrassing blowout that they were going to ‘reevaluate’ their cooperation with ESPN regarding the segment.

Check out the interview above as Rodgers admits he has refused Mic’d up offers for years.
