NCAA President Charlie Baker joins Dan Patrick on The Dan Patrick Show. They discuss a variety of topics including the recent monetary settlement for former college athletes, the possibility of realigning the conferences and the 12-team playoff in football, and the effect gambling is having on student athletes. And he confirms that they will be looking to expand the field for NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament.
Dan Patrick: “We’re not going to 96 (schools) anytime soon for March Madness?”
Charlie Baker: “No, we’re not.”
Dan: “But we’re going to go into 70?”
Charlie: “...The committees have some work to do here but I think there’s room to go to something like 72 or 76.”
