FOX Sports Radio's The Odd Couple with Rob Parker & Kelvin Washington is a weekday show from 7 - 10 p.m. ET! The FSR personalities provide listeners with a dynamic discussion as the two polar opposites take listeners through the biggest hits in sports.


Rob Parker

Veteran journalist Rob Parker is co-host of FOX Sports Radio’s The Odd Couple with Rob Parker and Kelvin Washington. Broadcasting weekdays from 7-10 p.m. ET, Parker and Washington provide listeners with dynamic discussion and outspoken opinions as the duo covers the biggest stories and headlines in sports. In addition to airing on 350 stations nationwide, the program cano be heard on FOX Sports Radio’s channel on iHeartRadio. Parker helped launch The Odd Couple in March 2018 as a weekend program, and in just six months, it was promoted to a weekday timeslot.


Parker’s career started with a bang. At 22 years old, he was a full-time sports writer at the Daily News in New York. Along the way, Parker was a trailblazer, becoming the first African American sports columnist at the Detroit Free Press (1993) and at Newsday in New York (1995). In 1993, Parker was the first African American beat writer to cover the Cincinnati Reds for The Cincinnati Enquirer. He was also an award-winning sports columnist at The Detroit News for nine years.


In Detroit, Parker had long-running radio show, Sports Night with Parker and The Man. On TV, he worked for WDIV Local 4 for 20 years as an analyst and fill-in anchor. At WXYZ TV, he was the 10pm sports anchor in 2016.

Parker, a New York native, graduated with a degree in journalism from Southern Connecticut State University and went on to receive a Master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University. In 2018, he was named National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) Sports Journalist of the Year, and he was inducted into the NABJ Hall of Fame in 2023. Based in Los Angeles, Parker is also an adjunct professor at USC.


Kelvin Washington

An Emmy Award-winning Spectrum News 1 SoCal Host/Anchor, Washington has been with the network since its launch in 2018, covering local issues that impact Southern Californians. In August 2024, he took over as host of Your Morning on Spectrum News 1. 

He is also a frequent contributor on Spectrum News 1's LA Times Today and is one of the hosts of the pre- and post-game shows for the Dodgers on SportsNet LA.

A Golden Mike award recipient in 2021, Washington has extensive experience hosting special documentaries and original programming, including The Envelope: Emmy Roundtables and Spectrum News 1's Emmy-nominated show, 50 Years of Hip Hop: From the Westside.

 

Over the course of his career, Washington has interviewed many sports personalities and athletes, including Clayton Kershaw, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul Jabbar and Grant Hill. 

Washington joined ESPNLA 710 in 2014, and the station debuted Kelvin and Travis a new local morning drive program in 2015. He later co-hosted Marcellus and Kelvin followed by Afternoons with Marcellus, Kelvin and E.D. in afternoons. Previously, Washington served as an on-air personality for Radio Disney on Sirius XM and 99.1 KGGI, an iHeartMedia station.

Washington also served as co-host of NBC’s Spartan: Ultimate Team Challenge, a series where top athletes competed on an obstacle course for a cash prize.
