Jim Irsay Discusses the Possibility of Andrew Luck Coming Out of Retirement

Listen to Indianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay join The Rich Eisen Show to discuss the possibility of former All-Pro Colts quarterback Andrew Luck coming out of retirement.

The 31-year-old hasn’t played a down of football since his shocking retirement on August 24th, 2019. Up until that day, it was perceived that Luck would be ready for the start of the season, as Luck was still seen on the team’s sideline during preseason games wearing team apparel, and trying to continue his rehabilitation from a litany of injures.

Luck was coming off a 2018 season in which he threw 39 touchdowns, and piled up 4,593 passing yards. Last season, Luck’s replacement Jacoby Brissett finished with just 2,952 passing yards in 15 starts, with only 18 touchdowns.

The Colts would sign 39-year-old Philip Rivers in the offseason, who ranks a respectable 9th and 15th in passing yards and touchdowns, respectively, but is only 18th in QBR as a pocket passer who lacks any creativity.

Check out the full segment above as Irsay opens up about the scenario of a Luck comeback for a powerful Colts team who might just be a quarterback away from being the best team in the NFL.
