Clay Travis: Texans Drafting QB Could Spell End of Deshaun Watson's Career

Clay Travis: “What the Houston Texans were telling you when they drafted Davis Mills with their first pick in the third round was Deshaun Watson is not playing this year, and maybe ever again. If you had a 25-year-old healthy quarterback that was the future of your franchise, you don’t go draft a young quarterback in the third round with your first overall pick. We saw how angry Aaron Rodgers was with the Jordan Love pick, imagine how angry Deshaun Watson, who was unhappy with some of the decisions that have been made by the Texans, would have suddenly been if the Texans would have drafted a third-round quarterback with their first pick given they didn’t have a first or second-round pick? That was as clear of evidence as you could possibly see that Deshaun Watson is never playing for the Houston Texans again, and certainly that he’s not playing in 2021.” (Full Audio Segment Above)

Listen to Clay Travis explain why he thinks Deshaun Watson’s fate may have appeared much grimmer in the aftermath of the Houston Texans drafting Stanford quarterback Davis Mills in the third round of the 2021 NFL Draft – their first selection, as Clay thinks the Texans made it pretty obvious that they’re preparing to move on from Watson.

Check out the audio above as Clay doesn’t see Watson playing in 2021, or potentially ever again.
