Chicago Bears Need to Trade For a Veteran Quarterback to Save Their Season

Los Angeles Chargers v Chicago Bears
Colin Cowherd: “The Chicago Bears can get back into the playoff hunt if they make a move in the next 24 hours at the trading deadline. Nick Foles, Eli Manning, and Teddy Bridgewater are out there. You have to throw an efficient thrower of the football against the Packers, Vikings, and Lions defenses, and Bridgewater is that. Drew Brees’ injury was a fluke and now he’s back, looks great, and is playing the rest of the year. Bridgewater is a backup whose contract runs out at the end of this year. Chicago, call New Orleans or Jacksonville and don’t take no for an answer. You can’t punt on this season. You whiffed on Mitch Trubisky, it’s okay, but you have too good of a coach, GM, and defense to punt the season.” (Full Video at Bottom of Page)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why the freefalling Chicago Bears need to end the Mitch Trubisky Era ASAP and trade for a veteran quarterback before Tuesday’s NFL trade deadline.

The Bears have lost three straight games to plummet all the way to last place in the powerful NFC North division, and their starting quarterback is getting most of the blame for an offense that ranks second to last in the NFC in scoring.

Trubisky has just 5 touchdown passes in six games, with four of those six games having Trubisky post 0 touchdowns. His QBR ranks 28th in the league with only Josh Rosen, Marcus Mariota, Sam Darnold, and Josh Allen posting worse totals.

Check out the video below as Colin details why the Bears need to look at names like Teddy Bridgewater, Nick Foles, or Eli Manning as a potential replacements for Trubisky, as Colin believes a quarterback of their caliber can save the season and get them into the playoffs.
