Colin Cowherd: Load Management Wins NBA Championships

Charlotte Hornets v Los Angeles Clippers
Colin Cowherd: “Do I love ‘Load Management’ for the NBA business? NO, I hate it and think it’s awful. But when Kawhi Leonard is holding up a trophy for the Clippers do you think he gives a rip that he missed a November 6th game against Giannis?? Nobody cares, and you don’t get bonus points in early November. Lebron’s triple-double ‘revenge tour’ is so below him and it’s Westbrook territory. Load Management is really good for Kawhi and it’s WORKING.” (Full Audio at Bottom of Page)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain how the NBA’s unwilling tussle with the ‘Load Management’ phenomenon is obviously a daunting problem facing the league, but also how it’s WORKING for the game’s best player on the game’s best team.

Two-time NBA Finals MVP Kawhi Leonard, perhaps the posterboy of the new abstinence movement, memorably missed 22 regular season games last season, most of those healthy scratches, before leading the Toronto Raptors to their first ever NBA Finals championship.

Colin says star players sitting out while perfectly able to play is certainly bad for business, but also says it’s hard to argue that it hasn't worked for Kawhi.

Check out the audio below as Colin details why a missed game versus Giannis and the Bucks in early November is going to be irrelevant when Leonard is holding up another Finals MVP on the Clippers.
