Colin Cowherd: Tua Tagovailoa Should Be Number One Pick in 2020 NFL Draft

Colin Cowherd: “This kid is once in a lifetime player. Have you ever seen his college stats?? 22-2, 87 touchdowns to 11 picks, 69% completion rate, he got better every year, leadership, coachable – I’ve never seen college stats like this. This is like video game crap, and that’s in the SEC which easily has the best defenses in college football and the only conference where you’ve got 7 NFL guys on defense every Saturday. HE ATE IT ALIVE. He’s my number one pick, he’s special.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he believes Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa should be the number one overall pick in the upcoming NFL Draft ahead of LSU quarterback Joe Burrow, who currently appears like the overwhelming favorite to be taken first by the bottom-feeding Cincinnati Bengals.

There have been a lot of fears arising about the potentially degenerative detriments around Tagovailoa's hip injury, an injury that ended his season at Alabama this year, but the Hawaiian has been persistent in his belief that his questionable medicals will not be a factor in the NFL.

Despite Burrow having arguably the greatest offensive season in the history of college football, Cowherd compares Tagovailoa to Drew Brees, and says Tua is a ‘once in a lifetime’ talent who might be one of the most talented college prospects ever.
