Colin Cowherd: Packers Should Draft Jordan Love as Aaron Rodgers' Successor

Colin Cowherd: “Jordan Love is what the future of the NFL looks like. He’s 6’3” 1/2, 225, mobile, big arm, and if you just flipped his amazing sophomore stats with his junior stats on a bad team, Love would be a top 5 pick… The Packers should draft Jordan Love… If you don’t then New England will. When Green Bay drafted Aaron Rodgers, Brett Favre was 35. Rodgers is currently 35 and is clearly like Favre with slight erosion.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd discuss recent comments Green Bay Packers general manager Brian Gutekunst made that somewhat surprisingly acknowledged that the idea of drafting a quarterback was ‘always on the table.’

The comments were somewhat eye-opening considering future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers is still only 35 years old playing in a less violent league that still is showcasing elite quarterback in their 40’s like Tom Brady and Drew Brees, but Colin thinks the comments could be foreshadowing the team drafting a quarterback in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft in late April.

Check out the video above as Colin details why he thinks the Packers should take Utah State quarterback Jordan Love in the first round, and explains why this Rodgers-Love situation in 2020 is so similar to the Favre-Rodgers situation in 2005, as Rodgers is currently the same age as Favre was (35) when Green Bay drafted their successor for Favre.
