Colin Cowherd: Drew Lock is a Dark Horse NFL MVP Candidate in 2020

Colin Cowherd: “Most of you didn’t watch Drew Lock because Denver was bad early. He started 5 games, he won 4. He had over a 2/1 touchdown-to-interception ratio, and that was with a bad left tackle. He completed 64% of his throws and here’s what I like; he’s got a young tight end name Noah Fant, a position that struggles in the NFL in year 1. I think Fant is going to be a star. He also has a great young receiver that you don’t know much about from SMU named Courtland Sutton, who had a great first year of over 1,100 yards. They drafted two wide receivers to support him, one of them my favorite in the Draft, Jerry Jeudy. By adding Melvin Gordon, they now have two Pro Bowl level running backs. My guess is that Drew Lock explodes for Denver this year. I’m going to bet on Drew Lock.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks Denver Broncos quarterback Drew Lock will be a dark horse MVP candidate in 2020, as Colin already is predicting that the Broncos are the NFL’s biggest surprise team next season, and penciling in a 10-6 season for Denver.

Second-year quarterbacks have won the MVP the past two years with Lamar Jackson in 2019, and Patrick Mahomes in 2018, and second year QB Carson Wentz was the overwhelming favorite to win the MVP in 2018 before he tore his ACL with three games left in the regular season.

Check out the video above as Colin details why he’s betting on Lock to win the MVP this year.
