Former NFL Star Says He's Giving Away Stimulus Checks to His Biggest Fans

Athletes And YouTube Stars Team For DOOM Videogame Tournament

On Tuesday, President Trump said during an interview that a second and “very generous” stimulus is coming and that the details of it would be revealed in a “couple of weeks.” However, Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson is offering an alternative putting some of his own cash aside to support his 3.2 million followers during their time of need.

The former NFL star is showing his charitable side by sending out money to random folks on social media. COVID 19’s financial impact on millions of people has been devastating, and Johnson is one of the celebrities aiming to help.

According to a message posted on the former NFL wide receiver’s Twitter page, he’ll be issuing payments via Cash App for people affected by the faltering economy on July 1.

“I’m giving out stimulus checks July 1st if you have cash app since Trump want to keep playing games,” he captioned a screenshot of the $245,000 fund he’s set up.

Johnson was a six-time Pro Bowler, and three-time All-Pro who totaled 11,059 receiving yards and 67 touchdowns in 11 seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals and New England Patriots.
