Colin Cowherd Picks His 2020 NBA Champion Based on Every Team's Star Player

Listen to Colin Cowherd fill out his 2020 NBA Playoff bracket if nothing else mattered in each series besides the head-to-head matchups between both teams’ star players.

1. LeBron James vs. 8. Damian Lillard

“LeBron is 52-11 for his career in the first round, he’s a much bigger athlete, better defensively, and this year he led the NBA in assists. LeBron wins this.”

4. James Harden vs. 5. Chris Paul

“I love Chris Paul as a true point guard but it’s a shooting guard and small forward's game, and Harden is great at it. Harden has won three straight scoring titles and is a more dangerous weapon."

3. Nikola Jokic vs. Donovan Mitchell

“Jokic and the Nuggets were 4-0 against the Jazz this year and Jokic absolutely lit them up, averaging over 30 a game, with 11 assists per game. Wilt Chamberlain is the only other center in NBA history with over 500 assists in a season, and Jokic is doing some all-time stuff as a ‘point center;. As much as I like Donovan Mitchell, Jokic makes everybody on that team better, and I’m not sure if Donovan and Gobert even get along anymore.”

2. Kawhi Leonard vs. Luka Doncic

“Kawhi over Luka. All you need to know is this: when Kawhi played for the Clippers this year they were 42-16, but were only a .500 team without him. This isn’t that close.”
