Chris Broussard: “I think Aaron Rodgers is great, and he’s obviously a first ballot Hall of Famer and one of the best to ever do it, but watching that game I felt like I saw the things that may have made Tom Brady a six-time Super Bowl champion, and the things that have made Aaron Rodgers a guy who hasn’t gotten back to the Super Bowl in a decade… Quarterback is not just about physical ability. The best two quarterbacks we have ever seen – Tom Brady and Joe Montana – it wasn’t about their physical gifts. Obviously they had some but they weren’t the most gifted physically. But the INTANGIBLES, the mental game, the leadership, and being able to galvanize a team… We saw Tom Brady last week going off on his offensive linemen about the penalties, and we knew Bruce Arians wasn’t going to be the one who cleans this up – he runs a loose ship. Part of Brady’s job was to come in and put his personality on that team, and teach them about winning. A week later and they become the first team this season to go a full game with no penalties. I attribute a lot of that to Tom Brady… Aaron Rodgers was great in that Super Bowl in 2010, but man, he’s had a lot of big games where he just didn’t get it done. I know this wasn’t a playoff game, but it still was a big game, and Aaron Rodgers wet the bed. After the two interceptions he looked SHOOK… His performances in NFC title games are not good. For a guy who never throws interceptions, in NFC title games he has 6 touchdowns, and 7 interceptions. There are times for the great Aaron Rodgers, when the lights are on bright he gets SHOOK.” (Full Segment Above)
Listen to Chris Broussard explain why he thinks Aaron Rodgers’ career is becoming synonymous with being SHOOK during the biggest games, as Rodgers’ Packers were absolutely annihilated by Tom Brady and the Buccaneers in arguably the most highly anticipated regular season game of 2020.
Check out the segment above as Chris details why he doesn’t think Rodgers has the intangibles to be a guy who wins multiple Super Bowls.
