Three Reasons Why Jimmy Garoppolo's Career is Over in San Francisco

Colin Cowherd: “Jimmy Garoppolo is hurt again, he’s going to miss multiple weeks, and I’m just going to say it now: It’s OVER for Jimmy Garoppolo in San Francisco. There are three things that will end your career for one team: you’re inconsistent – Garoppolo is. The coach has lost faith in you – the coach has. And you can’t stay healthy. It doesn’t mean he’s done in the NFL, I think New England is going to make a run at him, but Kyle Shanahan is in a division with Russell Wilson – who is never injured, with Kyler Murray – who you can never get a big hit on, and Jared Goff – say what you want, but he’s never hurt. Garoppolo cannot stay healthy. He got hurt in New England, he got hurt his first year in San Francisco as a starter, and he’s hurt now. It’s over, and Kyle Shanahan would be idiotic to run this back… I think Kyle Shanahan lost faith in Garoppolo at the end of last year and it’s one of these ‘OK, he got us to the Super Bowl but what do we do?’ In a weird way you got a break. Now when you move off him it’s not a big cap hit, and you could tell that Kyle had lost faith in him. This gives you the out, nobody is going to argue, and Shanahan will have the media in the Bay Area on his side.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks Jimmy Garoppolo has played his final down for the 49ers, as the former Super Bowl runner-up who could potentially miss the rest of the season with a high ankle sprain, has a contract that no longer has any guaranteed money remaining on the deal.

Check out the video above as Colin details three reasons why he doesn’t think the 49ers will pick up Garoppolo’s $26 million a year contract for the next two years.
