James Harden's Days in Houston Are Numbered

Why this Will Be James Harden's Final Season With the Rockets
Jason Smith: “James Harden is going to end up traded. This is one of those stories where it’s not going to be a shocking overnight story, but clearly you can see that the endgame has begun, and that’s to trade James Harden… This whole off-season ran-a-fire for the Rockets. Mike D’Antoni left, there were rumors Russell Westbrook and him didn’t get along, and then Westbrook gets traded and in comes John Wall who hasn’t played in a year and a half. Harden then talks about playing for the Brooklyn Nets, and that was on the table for a couple of days. James Harden was quiet about the Wall trade and now he’s officially holding out of Rockets camp. You can see the way this is going. He wants to go to Brooklyn, he wants to be traded. He wants OUT of Houston and that’s how it’s going to end. Is he really going to say ‘I want to come back and compete’?? The Rockets clearly did not get better, they just stayed the same, and they clearly aren’t going to be good enough to beat the Lakers, or the Jazz or Nuggets. What impetus does Harden have to wanna come back and play?? He wants to get some place else where he can win.” (Full Audio Above)

Listen to Jason Smith explain why he thinks James Harden’s days are numbered in Houston, and why it’s a foregone conclusion that the three-time reigning scoring champion will be on a new team at some point this season.
