Listen to Rob Parker actually side with Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson for his controversial move to bench Jalen Hurts in the fourth quarter of last night’s game vs. Washington, which has seemingly drawn the ire of the entire sport.
With New York desperately needing Philadelphia to win, the Eagles mysteriously pulled their budding rookie star, Hurts, at the end of the third quarter in favor of anonymous nonentity Nate Sudfeld.
Sudfeld had three extremely unsightly drives, including two of those ending with ugly turnovers, and finished with a 3.2 QBR on 5 of 12 passing for 32 yards.
Many current and former players around the league called the move by Pederson ‘disgraceful’, and said it was literally ‘tanking.’ Giants head coach Joe Judge said the Eagles ‘disrespected the game.’
ESPN reporter Sal Paolantonio even went so far as to say that Roger Goodell and the NFL should ‘investigate’ the Eagles for their clandestine behavior at the end of the nationally televised game that was ‘embarrassing’ to the league.
Check out the rant above, however, as Rob says Pederson should win ‘Coach of the Year’, for sticking to his guns with Sudfeld, adding that he shouldn’t give a ‘Rat’s A**’ about Joe Judge or the Giants.
