Randy Moss Explains Why He 'Mooned' Packers Fans During Infamous 2005 Game

Listen to NFL Hall of Fame wide receiver Randy Moss detail his infamous ‘mooning’ incident at Lambeau Field on January 9th, 2005, as Moss’ notorious touchdown celebration that Fox Sports announcer Joe Buck memorably called a ‘disgusting act’ became one of the most indelible moments in NFL playoff history.

Moss had just caught a 34-yard touchdown pass from Vikings quarterback Dante Culpepper with 10:18 left in the fourth quarter to make it a two-score game at 31-17 and trotted over to the end zone goal post before bending over towards the Lambeau Field faithful sitting behind the end zone and acting like he was pulling his pants down to moon them.

The Vikings would end up winning the game, and Moss was later fined $10,000.

The play has become synonymous with both the remarkable careers of Moss and Buck, but why exactly did arguably the greatest wide receiver of all time decide to partake in this bizarre celebration?

Check out the video above as Moss gives his comical explanation.
