Colin Cowherd: Nets Are 'Too Pretty' & 'Not Tough Enough' to Win NBA Finals

Colin Cowherd: “We often fall for ‘pretty’ in sports, but ‘pretty’ only wins championships when it’s TOUGH. Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant were ‘pretty’, but they were ‘tough.’ The Kansas City Chiefs were pretty but they weren’t really tough, and Tampa Bay swatted them. Gonzaga was ‘pretty’, but Baylor was ‘pretty’ AND ‘tough’. The Brooklyn Nets are not tough. Their guys can’t stay healthy, they’re kind of flaky, they don’t play defense, they don’t man you up, they want to win three-point shooting contests, they don’t have a rim protector, and their coaches weren’t tough guys. They are the classic ‘pretty’ team… Brooklyn is exactly what DOESN’T win championships: flaky, injury-prone, pretty, and not tough. They’re going to win a lot of games in the regular season. They’re a lot like the Phoenix Suns when Steve Nash played for them.” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks the Brooklyn Nets resemble the Phoenix Suns teams of the late-2000’s who played some of the most entertaining basketball in NBA history but were never able to any championships.

Check out the video above as Colin details why the Nets are too ‘pretty’, and not ‘tough’ enough to ever win an NBA Finals with this current team.
