Dallas Cowboys: “New ‘Micah’ Linebacker”
“It’s called a ‘mike’ linebacker, but Micah Parsons is their latest star from Penn State. They didn’t really need a linebacker and they drafted two Micah Parsons and Jabril Cox; they already have Jaylon Smith and Leighton Vander Esch, and they brought Keanu Neal over from Atlanta so it is a crowded linebacking corps, but Parsons is probably the most talented defensive player in the draft.”
Philadelphia Eagles: “Hurts to Watch”
“Jalen Hurts has four career starts at quarterback – one win, three losses – they hired Nick Siriani as coach and I don’t feel good about it. They spent the least amount of money of any team in free agency so they didn’t exactly give them a fair shot. The good news is that it’s a bad division.”
New York Giants: “Just Judge Jones”
“Joe Judge is fine but this is about Daniel Jones. He now has Kyle Rudolph AND Evan Engram at tight end. He now has Kenny Golladay at wide receiver, with Sterling Shepard, Darius Slayton, and rookie Kadarius Toney. He’s got Saquon Barkley at running back. This is actually an extensive and deep reservoir of offensive talent. It is now on Daniel Jones to win some games.”
Washington Football Team: “Not Right Fitz”
“Ryan Fitzpatrick, 17 years, and is the only player in NFL history with 5,000 passing attempts without ever having played in a playoff game. He’s a little bit of a gunslinger, in fact, he’s A LOT of bit of a gunslinger. It’s an odd fit. I think if you had a Teddy Bridgwater, who played it safe, that defense could win you ten games. I think Fitzpatrick can play you in some games, and play you OUT of even more.”
Buffalo Bills: ‘BILL-DING A JUGGERNAUT’
“They won their first AFC East division title since 1995. Their weakness was a pass rush and they used their first two picks on pass rushers and defensive linemen in the draft.”
Miami Dolphins: ‘TUA’S NEW TOYS’
“They don’t know if Tua is going to make it so they have helped him by adding Will Fuller and by adding players on the outside in the Draft. Whether or not he makes it, he was near the bottom of the NFL in passing yards per game, so Tua has got new toys.”
New York Jets: ‘SA-LOT TO PROVE’
“That’s Robert Saleh. Basically, this is the worst roster in the division, this is the worst offensive line in the division, he’s got a rookie quarterback, and he’s a rookie head coach.”
New England Patriots: ‘READY TO RELAUNCH’
“Biggest spenders by a mile in free agency, over $300 million spent. They went and got two tight ends, Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry, they got Nelson Agholor as well, and apparently Bill Belichick is stepping back during the draft to let his scouts take over.”
