Colin Cowherd: How Tom Brady's Retirement Affects Aaron Rodgers

Colin Cowherd: “There is a ripple effect when someone retires…  I’ve said it’s time to rip the Band-Aid off when it comes to Aaron Rodgers in Green Bay, but if you ran the Packers this morning— over the last 72 hours – San Francisco’s Brock Purdy is not only hurt, he may not start the season. He might not be able to participate in offseason workouts. San Francisco has a mess on their hands. Brady is always a challenge but he’s now gone. Minnesota is not going to go 11-0 again in close games again. Geno Smith… really? Opinions change when circumstances change and the two obstacles outside of Philadelphia— San Francisco has issues and Tampa has issues too, the GOAT retired. If you really look at the NFC the only thing standing in the Packers way is Philadelphia, but they’re going to have to pay Jalen Hurts and that means some of their expensive free agents are gone, and they’ve got 2-3 very good players in the trenches that are close to retirement. Brady retired, San Francisco is a mess, does Green Bay now say to themselves this morning… ‘guys, one more year with Aaron?' There’s a ripple effect when great players retire just like MJ; does Green Bay go from ripping the Band-aid off with Aaron to keeping it on, and asking Aaron if he could stop by the office, and we’d like to have another discussion?” (Full Segment Above)
