Classless and Entitled Anthony Edwards Was Exposed For His Bummish Antics

Listen to YouTube sports documentarian Jay Skapinac of the YouTube channel Skap Attack call out Minnesota Timberwolves star guard Anthony Edwards for his arrogant behavior at the end of the T-Wolves' Game 7 triumph over the Denver Nuggets Sunday night, with Skapinac pointing to the irony of Edwards taunting the defending champion Nuggets despite posting a paltry 6 for 24 stat line in the deciding game that sent Minnesota to their first conference finals since 2004.

Check out the segment below as Skapinac says Edwards' behavior resembled a 'classless and entitled young brat', and a guy who shouldn't have been acting like such a clown given his horrendous performance obviously had little to do with helping Minnesota win the game.

Jay Skapinac: “The Minnesota Timberwolves stunned the Denver Nuggets in game seven, overcoming a 15-point deficit at half time -- the largest comeback in Game 7 history, and they did it on the road against the defending NBA champions. There was a lot to celebrate for the Minnesota Timberwolves and a well-deserved series victory for the substantially better team. Massive playoff riser Anthony Edwards, who has been one of, if not the best player in these playoffs so far, laid an absolute egg in this game, scoring just 16 points on 6 of 24 from the field.
I love the way this young kid plays. I love his game, his swagger, his demeanor, the way he carries himself, but in the waning moments of last night's game he was taunting the Denver crowd and Nikola Jokic. To the victor goes the spoils, and if you show the hell up, dominate, and handle your business, by all means run your mouth, talk your sh*t, jump on a scorers table or two if you want. By all means, YOU DO YOU. But if you show up TINY, play a minuscule game, and are the predominant reason your team was in a massive hole to begin with, put your damn head down, shake some hands, and go celebrate with your teammates in the locker room.
There's nothing better than taunting all-time greats and their crowds WHEN YOU SHOW UP, but this is straight clownish behavior when you score 16 points on 24 shots, only to be bailed out by your entire team. And I do mean the ENTIRE TEAM. The remaining Timberwolves roster outside of Anthony Edwards scored 82 points on 45% shooting, while he scored 16 on 25% from the field. This is while Jokic scored 34 points and had seven assists on 46% from the field, while the entire Nuggets roster outside of him combined for just 56 points and 11 assists, on 38% from the field. Again, kid, put your head down, shake some hands, and pop some champagne in the locker room.
We can likely chalk that up to youthful exuberance and emotions getting the better of him in the moment, but he was also exuding general bummish antics in the post-game as well. He said he had ‘Jamal Murray in handcuffs’. Jamal Murray, who had 35 points on 13 of 27 from the field in a game Edwards had 16 points on 6 of 24. Perhaps he was referencing the second half, but while Murray was much quieter in the second half he still had 11 points on 5 of 12 from the field.
Again, do less my guy. And Jokic, the classiest, most humble superstar possibly ever, certainly in this sport, had 14 points in the fourth quarter on 5 of 10 shooting while the rest of his team scored just nine. In that final quarter, which was a one-point game at the end of three, Anthony Edwards had three points on 1 of 8 shooting, while the rest of his team had 29 points on 8 of 11 from the field. Bummish antics by a classless player.
And before all of you scrub trolls slither your way into my comments on this video and start popping off about Kobe's 6 of 24 in Game 7 of the 2010 NBA Finals, let us quickly and preemptively discuss the differences between those two performances. In that Game 7 for Kobe, his 23 points LED his team in scoring. In fact, it led all players on either team for the entire game in scoring. Also, his 10 points in the fourth quarter were a game-high for either team.
Anthony Edwards was the fifth-leading scorer on the night in this game, and third on his own team, while four players on his roster outscored him in the fourth quarter. This is some LeBron James 2011 type sh*t. This man is getting bailed out by 10-point-per-game career scorer Jaden McDaniels, and acting like he did something last night. Incredible lack of sportsmanship on display here by seemingly just another entitled young brat in today's NBA landscape.”
