Jason Whitlock: "This is an incredibly bad look for Bill Belichick. I get they’re two consenting adults and what they do in the bedroom is their business, but when one of the most respected coaches in all of sports trashes his own public image with this type of immature and irrational decision, it’s just a bridge too far for me. I can’t believe we’re watching this. I can’t figure out what’s worse – what's going on with Kanye West or what’s going on with Bill Belichick. Kanye parades his wife around like a sex object all the time. It says something about America, American men, and just how much we’ve lost the plot and lost the desire to be leaders. These are two men being led around their D-*-C-K. One is perhaps the most respected football coach of all time, and he’s a clown no different from Kanye West. This is weird behavior and a disgrace to men. What Bill Belichick is doing is worse.
Bill Belichick builds up this impeccable reputation as a leader of men and was someone most men respected as a leader. Bill Belichick could command a room and people had to respect him. Every football player that he will coach in the future will sit there and say ‘Bill Belichick is no different from us. He’s led around by his D-*-C-K. He has no discipline.’ Many people will have the right to say ‘Hey, Bill, do you have Epstein-type fantasies?’
There’s a 48-year age gap. That’s a grandfather looking at his granddaughter's friends and saying ‘OH, I’D LIKE TO HAVE A PIECE OF THAT!’, and not having the discipline to say ‘That’s off limits for me. That’s inappropriate and immoral. That makes me look like a clown.’ You don’t have to live out every perverse sexual fantasy that is available to you because you’ve earned $100 million. You can be a better man than that. I’m not calling for righteousness, I’m just saying ‘DO BETTER.’
When you’re a grandfather dating someone your granddaughter's age, it indicates that the granddaughter isn’t off limits either. That is the kind of clown Bill Belichick is making himself out to be. It looks to me that Bill Belichick has the same demons as that pastor in Texas that just had to step down [Robert Morris].
We have built a society that if you want to ascend to the very top, there’s a level of sexual immorality that you must participate in order to move up and reach the very top of your profession. We have a sexual immortality cult that is running our society and you have to ante up if you want to achieve financial success at the highest level. This feels like a humiliation ritual for Bill Belichick. For anybody at the top of the pop culture food chain, this is the price of admission. This doesn’t feel organic to me. This feels orchestrated. How did this get leaked? What millionaire moves this way with his sugar baby? Their sugar baby hops in an Uber and comes to them at their home or some high-end hotel. You don’t go over to her house in some working-class neighborhood and then sneak out the door shirtless at 5 in the morning.
Every great male leader is getting disgraced. We can’t fix what’s wrong with American culture if all male leadership is this irresponsible and is this controlled by their private parts. Men used to draw a line in the sand. ‘I’m not going to disgrace myself, my family, I’m not going to embarrass my kids, I’m not going to embarrass my parents’... Men used to feel responsibility to maintain some level of decency in a society. They would move in silence. Young men look at Bill Belichick as a leader and he has to set a standard. He should never do anything publicly that damages the respect that young men and men have for him. Belichick might like young women, but he should keep that private. He should never let some 24-year-old get that close that he needs to parade her around Nantucket. Belichick could have grand kids her age. This man has worked hard to build up a reputation of someone worthy of respect and he’s just throwing it all away.
A 72-year-old man of Bill Belichick’s stature allowing this to get out publicly and parading this woman around publicly, he’s jeopardizing the safety of other young girls. There are sacrifices that we have to make if we want to protect young people. When someone as respected as Bill Belichick at 72 years old has been hooking up with a 24-year-old, what that does is give license to other men like ‘well, me at 35 and a 17-year-old', ‘me at 29 with a 16, a 15, a 14-year-old.’ ‘Me at 72 and a 19-year-old or an 18-year-old.’ Bill Belichick is not Leonardo DiCaprio. Belichick doesn’t have the discipline to say ‘hey, man, 40 is going to be my line in the sand because I’m setting a horrible example for everybody else, I’m making a clown out of myself, and I’m embarrassing children my.’ Men have fallen.
Belichick looks no different from Hunter Biden. If we ever find a Bill Belichick laptop, we might find him doing coke of this little young girl’s rear end. It’s a sexual perversion cult leading our country and Bill Belichick is participating in the destruction of the image of men as leaders. We have no discipline and it’s sad.
Bill Belichick needs to repent, apologize, and leave that 24-year-old girl alone. I don’t have a problem with grown men dating younger women. If Bill Belichick was 40 and dating a 25-year-old girl I wouldn’t care. If he was 55 and dating a 30-year-old woman I wouldn't care. If Belichick was dating a 45-year-old woman I don’t care. But this is a 24-year-old child and he’s 48 years older than her. If he wants to be Hugh Hefner, go run Playboy, Hustler, or some porn website, we wouldn’t care. But he hopped in a lane of respected leadership and to be seen as a leader of men.
