Watch Colin Cowherd count down his list of the top 10 NFL teams after Week 3 in Colin’s latest installment of the ‘Herd Hierarchy' rankings.
10. Cowboys (2-1)
“Let’s not overreact, Dak is 11-1 against the awful NFC East, and oh by the way, the Cowboys are 26-0 when they have more rushing attempts than passing attempts. I don’t think he’s Mahomes and he keeps winning divisional games. The key is that you have to admit that the defense is faster than last year, and they have 8 takeaways. This Dallas defense is rangier and more athletic, so I don’t think they’re going to be in shootouts every week. I don’t think it’s an elite defense, but when I watch them play they are on the ball faster than last year and better coached. That is a top 10 team.”
9. Raiders (3-0)
“Here is what worries me. They have overcome 14-point deficits in two of their three wins. You can’t fall behind in this league and keep winning, and that worries me. They had both the Dolphins and the Ravens at home, and I want to see them do something on the road beyond Pittsburgh and that anemic offense. Two things: they FINALLY have a pass rush. It’s about time. They’re generating one without blitzing. Number two, you know what I think about Derek Carr. He’s the only quarterback in the league right now averaging 400 yards passing. This is what veteran quarterbacks do – they sprinkle it around. On Sunday he threw to nine different targets. That’s important because Green Bay feels totally dependent on Davante Adams. Derek is sprinkling it around the roster.”
