Colin Cowherd Says No NBA Player Wants to Play in Boston

Kyrie Irving reportedly said he did not enjoy living in Boston.

Colin Cowherd: “Kyrie Irving said he didn’t like living in Boston, Anthony Davis told his agent he won’t sign long-term, Al Horford just bailed on them, LeBron never considered it, Kawhi isn’t considering it, Kevin Durant isn't considering it, Klay Thompson isn’t considering it, Jimmy Butler has no interest, Kevin Garnett initially didn’t want to go there… We have a trend here, folks. Boston is the no. 2 brand in the NBA behind the Lakers and they have an excellent owner, excellent GM, a very smart coach, and a remarkable history… But current players don’t want to play there. Boston should be owning free agents because the rest of the East is a mess.. But they aren't."

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he doesn’t think the Boston Celtics are a very attractive free agent destination for the game’s best players as Gordon Hayward is the only big time free agent of note that the franchise has been able to reel in the past decade.

Colin compares Boston to New York City and discusses why the two cities offer very different environments for the people living there, and explains why Boston alienates people who aren’t native to the city.

Check out the audio below as Colin theorizes why one of the most successful franchises in sports is never at the top of superstar’s wishlists any more.
