Colin Cowherd: The Green Bay Packers Are Not an Elite Team

Green Bay Packers v Kansas City Chiefs
Colin Cowherd: “I know Aaron Rodgers was great last night, YIPPEE! I’m not disputing that. But the story of last night is Matt Moore; why couldn’t Green Bay stop him? This was not supposed to be a shootout. Moore was a high school football coach last year and got in a groove versus the Packers defense. I just saw San Francisco versus Kyle Allen: it was a horror movie. I’ve seen New England and New Orleans against young quarterbacks; Kyler Murray couldn’t move the chains versus the Saints. Matt Moore shouldn’t have been able to do that. New Orleans, San Francisco, and New England have defenses that make quarterbacks uncomfortable, but Matt Moore was completely comfortable last night. Green Bay does not have a great defense, they have a couple of really good defensive playmakers. We got a gap between the Niners, Saints, and Patriots, THEN there’s the Packers. We know Aaron Rodgers is ridiculous and talented but being able to make great throws doesn’t win you the Super Bowl.” (Full Video at Bottom of Page)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks there’s a major gap between the NFL’s best teams as Colin puts the New England Patriots, San Francisco 49ers, and New Orleans Saints on the ‘elite’ level, way ahead of the Green Bay Packers.

The Packers are 7-1 and winners of four straight games, but Colin wasn’t thrilled with their narrow victory over the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday Night Football, that saw Chiefs backup Matt Moore go throw-for-throw with Aaron Rodgers.

Colin says if the Packers can’t even contain a guy filling in for Patrick Mahomes who was coaching high school football last year, then how can anyone put the Packers on the same pedestal as the Patriots, Saints, and 49ers, who have literally been embarrassing every quarterback they’ve played against?

Check out the audio below as Colin details why this Packers defense is vastly overrated.
