Colin Cowherd: Lions Should Draft Tua Tagovailoa and Trade Matthew Stafford

Colin Cowherd: “If you want to add some juice to your franchise, you may wanna take a guy who could CHANGE your franchise. A cornerback or a linebacker is not changing your franchise. TUA is changing your franchise… What is this loyalty to Matthew Stafford?? Eleven years, no playoff wins, no division titles, 10 games under .500, and they’ve had good players. I don’t wanna hear what he ‘hasn’t had’, what does Tom Brady have to throw to?? He’s had many opportunities: Aaron Rodgers got hurt, Minnesota couldn’t get their quarterback right and had Case Keenum, and Chicago has had all sort of dysfunction. If you pick that corner, you’re going to go 7-9, and the coach and GM are going to be out of work. Who is changing your franchise? A corner or the most talented quarterback in the Draft??” (Full Video Above)

Listen to Colin Cowherd explain why he thinks the Detroit Lions should selected Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa with the number three selection in the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft.

Colin has been one of the Tua’s biggest supporters in the media, calling the lefty a ‘Drew Brees clone’, and already predicting he will have a much better career than LSU quarterback Joe Burrow, who is nearly the unanimous choice to be selected first overall to the Bengals.

Check out the video above as Colin details why a dormant organization like Detroit, one of North America’s most incompetent franchises, needs to stop scouting cornerbacks and linebackers, and take a phenom like Tua to replace the perpetually mediocre incumbent Matthew Stafford.
