Ben Maller: “Lamar Jackson had an opportunity – now he’s still a young guy early in his career who has already won an MVP – but this was an opportunity to rewrite the story about Lamar Jackson. The story on Lamar Jackson is that he’s a PAPER TIGER. This guy against the Cleveland Browns and the bad teams of football is an Adonis, but then he’s the Tin Man when he plays the better teams. He failed spectacularly Monday night. The Chiefs don’t have a top-notch defense. They have a good defense, but not a great defense. The Chiefs defense feasted on the many weaknesses of Lamar Jackson. While considering a contemporary, and rightfully so, and equal to Patrick Mahomes, these guys are as different as night and day… Lamar Jackson, until proven otherwise is the NFL’s version of PAUL GEORGE. He’s a great player against bad opponents, who becomes a vampire at the key moments. When exposed to sunlight or good teams/the playoffs he vanishes. It’s depressing if you’re a Baltimore fan. He’s a show pony and a classical front-runner. Lamar Jackson is now 0-5 in games where his team has trailed by 10 or more points, and the Ravens have never won a game when trailing at halftime since he got there.” (Full Video Above)
Listen to Ben Maller explain why he thinks Lamar Jackson is the ‘Paul George’ of the NFL, as the former MVP was humiliated on Monday Night Football to the tune of only 97 passing yards.
Check out the segment above as Maller details why it’s becoming obvious that Jackson can only dominate bad NFL teams, but then wilt versus the most elite ones on the biggest stage much like PG-13.
