Chris Broussard: “The NFL Trade Deadline has come and gone and the big news to me is that yet again, the Green Bay Packers did NADA… Rodgers was asked after the game last week if they needed another receiver at the Deadline and his quote was, ‘that’s not a bad question, but that’s one I can’t answer.’ He could have said ‘no, no, we’re good, we just got Davante back, Lazar is out, we will be okay’, but he left it hanging. The reports were that they were in talks to get Will Fuller from the Texans. He would have taken some of the heat off of Davante Adams and it would have been a great get had they been able to do it. The reports were that they ‘didn’t want to give up too much for him.’ The Green Bay Packers CONTINUE to take Aaron Rodgers for granted. You have got a legendary quarterback and one of the five greatest quarterbacks to ever throw the football. You seem to be content with your one Super Bowl. The Packers are one of the flagship franchises in the NFL. They were championship hoarders under Vince Lombardi, but only have two Super Bowls in the last 53 years, and they seem content with it. When you have a quarterback of this caliber, you need to do EVERYTHING you can to win now. They seem content to only be relevant, playoff bound, and have a great quarterback who will get you on national TV, and that’s that. I don’t like it… You’ve got Aaron Rodgers, so you always have a ‘shot’, but I don’t think they’re putting him into the best position to have the best chance at getting to the Super Bowl.” (Full Video Above)
Listen to Chris Broussard explain why he thinks the Green Bay Packers once again botched the NFL Trade Deadline, and blew another opportunity to fortify and construct a Super Bowl contending team around Aaron Rodgers.
Check out the video above as Chris blasts the Packers for ‘taking Rodgers for granted’, and seemingly just operating under the desire to be competitive and stay relevant, but never taking any roster risks to deliver Rodgers more Super Bowls.
