Colin Cowherd Ranks Which Teams Would Make the Best Fit For Kyrie Irving

Watch Colin Cowherd discuss the recent news that Kyrie Irving and the Nets have reportedly reached an ‘impasse’ regarding his future with the team, as Colin plays a segment of ‘If the Sneaker Fits: Kyrie Irving Edition’, and rates which NBA teams would make the best destination for the disenchanted and aloof future Hall of Famer.

Here were Colin’s projections:

Brooklyn Nets? NOT A FIT

Chicago Bulls? NOT A FIT

Dallas Mavericks? NOT A FIT

Los Angeles Clippers? GOOD FIT

Los Angeles Lakers? GOOD FIT

Miami Heat? NOT A FIT

New York Knicks? GOOD FIT

Philadelphia 76ers? NOT A FIT

Utah Jazz? NOT A FIT

Key points

“I think the Clippers are probably the best fit because Kawhi and Paul George are excellent and versatile wing defenders. This is what we’ve always said about the Warriors – Steph doesn’t have to be a great defender because Draymond, Wiggins, and Andre Iguodala are such great defenders that you can compensate for it. This team has elite wing defenders and a lot of versatility on their roster 'to' defend. What they don’t always have is -- who generates their offense? I don’t like it when Kawhi does and it always feels clunky to me. They need somebody to generate offense, get Paul George jumpers, get Kawhi the ball in space, so I think Kyrie is a great fit. They also have Terance Mann, Reggie Jackson,  and Kyrie played with Marcus Morris and they played pretty well together.”
