Colin Cowherd: “Everybody in Los Angeles knows they want to get rid of Westbrook. Westbrook is on his fourth team in four years, and probably his fifth team in five years if the Lakers could trade him. It’s the truth and everybody knows it. He doesn’t play off the ball and the Lakers have to have LeBron with the ball in his hands because he still remains one of the best players in the world when he is healthy. Westbrook will make the Hall of Fame but he’s toxic. Don’t tell me you make everybody so great around you when you’re on your fourth team in four years. Even though he’s highly compensated, so is Anthony Davis but that’s not viewed as a bad contract. AD is not toxic and he does make the team better, Westbrook does not. That’s why it’s [Westbrook’s contract] viewed as the sport’s worst or second-worst contract. He doesn’t elevate others beyond himself. It’s why KD moved off him and went to a rival, and it’s why his buddy James Harden couldn’t work together. Virtually everybody works with LeBron. Name a second player that doesn’t work with LeBron in 20 years? Whether you like him or not, LeBron is the great uniter and the great lubricator. It’s not what Westbrook is paid, it’s that he doesn’t work within the team construct at this point in his career. He got the awards, he got the money, he’s rigid and he’s not moving. Westbrook is toxic to the Lakers and that is not an opinion, go to the internet during any Laker game.” (Full Video Above)
