During a segment in which Colin Cowherd and Jason McIntyre were predicting how the 2023 offseason ‘Quarterback Carousel’ would shake out, Jason listed his ‘bold prediction’ as Lamar Jackson heading to the Miami Dolphins.
Jackson is set to become an unrestricted free agent after this season, barring the Ravens going the route of franchise tagging the former MVP in the midst of his worst season as a pro. If a move was going to happen it would likely include Jackson being franchise tagged and then traded for draft compensation, which theoretically could net Baltimore three-plus first-round picks.
Jackson has missed the last five Ravens games with a knee injury, and is reportedly looking for a deal similar to the Deshaun Watson contract, where Cleveland handed Watson a five-year fully guaranteed contract for $230 million.
Tua Tagovailoa flirted with the NFL MVP for a few weeks this season but struggled the second half of the season, and had his durability put into question once again, especially with the concerns around his multiple concussions this season.
Jackson grew up in Boynton Beach, FL, which is only 60 miles from Miami.
