Colin Cowherd Compares the Lakers to this Underachieving NFL Contender

Colin Cowherd: “Last night (Game 2) was a perfect representation of how one-dimensional the Lakers can be. Their NFL comp is the Tennessee Titans. You say they’re ‘boring’, but I mean, the Titans and the Lakers are physical, it’s an old school offense very driven around one guy, you get a lead, you play ahead, you play downhill, and you hold on to the end. Not overly dynamic, there is a formula to the way the Lakers can win, and last night (Game 2) was a perfect formula to win, it was low scoring. This is not a team who is going to race back from 17 down. This is a team whose best player is good offensively every ‘other’ game. That creates the dilemma, if the Lakers get bounced here in five games, do you run it back or get a new number one?” (Video Above)

Watch Colin Cowherd compare the beleaguered Los Angeles Lakers to this perpetually punchless NFL contender, as Colin says the Lakers’ ‘boring’ offense is finally being exposed by a much more formidable and modern Denver Nuggets team.

Check out the short segment above as Colin questions whether the Lakers need to run with a new no. 1 option instead of the alarmingly inconsistent Anthony Davis.
