Colin Cowherd: “It was reportedly an ‘organizational’ decision to fire Monty Williams, but Kevin Durant and Devin Booker had a say in it. This is a bad look for Kevin Durant who I have defended many times. Remember he got tired of Steve Kerr? Yeah, Steve is really good. He got tired of Steve Nash. He got Kenny Atkinson let go of his duties before that, and Atkinson is one of the leading candidates to get a job. Jacque Vaughn he said ‘no thanks.’ Then he got tired of Monty Williams. These are thought of as really good coaches and he can’t work with any of them. Now there’s a story today that the ‘surprise team’ in the mix for James Harden is the Phoenix Suns. Put a kibosh on this, KD, this is a BAD look. You’re becoming weird and eccentric. It’s OK to make poor decisions, LeBron James, great basketball IQ, has made poor decisions. Remember he wanted Shabazz Napier drafted? He wanted Westbrook to the Lakers. But LeBron moves off bad decisions and then generally doesn’t do them again. James Harden? After Kyrie and Harden?? You talk about a bad sequel. A lot of successful people take chances and swing and miss, it’s okay to be wrong, but you don’t wanna be old and eccentric, and have long fingernails like Howard Hughes. You don’t wanna be that actor on set that no one wants to work with because you’re odd and erratic. It’s one thing to not be able to work with Steve Kerr, Jacque Vaughn, and Monty Williams, but it’s another thing to double-down on James Harden. End this thing TODAY, it’s a bad look. You look unpredictable. If he doubles-down on James Harden, then you move into the ‘weird’ space, and not a good place as you age.” (Full Segment Above)

Check out the segment above as Colin discusses why he thinks Durant is now resembling an ‘old’ and ‘eccentric’ player who is starting to garner a poor reputation as an out-of-touch former star.
