Fitness influencer Cinti Goldani has died at the age of 36 following a battle with pneumonia, Musclecontest International announced in a translated post shared on its Instagram account Thursday (June 27).
“With great pain and sadness, I hereby inform you the passing of Professional Figure Athlete @cintiagoldanipro due to complications from pneumonia,” Musclecontest wrote. “Cynthia was an angel in human form. God needed backup in heaven.”
Goldani was a presenter of the "Figure" category for the promotion's female bodybuilding competition, which will hold its next event in Curitiba, Brazil, on the weekend of July 20-21. The 36-year-old placed 10th in the "Figure" category during last year's competition in Brazil, according to BarBend.
Goldani appeared to work as a bodybuilding coach helping several clients with poses, which included being “Specialized in female training with constant performance and evolution,” according to a post shared by the Musclecontest International account on April 30. The Brazilian also shared a post of herself doing cable lateral raises on her personal account on June 17.
Goldani was also reportedly set to compete in an "amateur bodybuilding event" in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, on October 12. Her partner, Gustavo Cesar GC, shared a tribute post on his personal Instagram account.
“This is the last photo I have of you in my phone, and this is how I want to remember you forever!” he wrote in a translated post. “Happy smiling and with that wonderful energy, you were the best human being I have ever met in the world!"
