Colin Cowherd: “Deshaun Watson is currently unhappy with the Houston Texans organization, and there have been rumors that Miami would be willing to trade Tua and some draft picks. We thought let’s put him in a uniform and see ‘Wats-ON’ or ‘Wats-OFF’? Where does he fit and where DOESN’T’ he fit potentially?”
Chicago Bears – Wats-ON or Wats-OFF?
“Wats-OFF. First of all, high school in Georgia, college in Clemson, Houston Texans in the NFL. He’s a warm-weather kid, and you’d be asking him to play in the coldest NFL city. Matt Nagy and Ryan Pace the GM are on the hot seat, so in one year Deshaun Watson could have coaching instability. I don’t think it fits.”
San Francisco 49ers – Wat-ON or Wats-OFF?
“Wats-OFF. He doesn’t look right in that jersey. He’s got a history of injuries and so did Jimmy G, so I think San Francisco would prefer to get a player with a big contract without the injury concern. This feels like an offense that is so run-centric, and Shanahan has a ton of control and doesn’t want his quarterback to do too much playmaking. I think he likes quarterbacks who do what Shanahan wants, and sometimes with Deshaun, you gotta let Deshaun be Deshaun."
