Bobby Eaton, Member of Legendary 'Midnight Express' Tag Team, Dies at 62

Legendary wrestler 'Beautiful' Bobby Eaton has died at the age of 62.

Eaton, a native of Huntsville, Alabama, is best remembered as one half of the tag team 'The Midnight Express' alongside fellow Alabama native Dennis Condrey and later Stan Lane, managed by Jim Cornette in various NWA promotions, as well as his later run with the Dangerous Alliance in WCW.

Eaton is widely regarded as one of the greatest tag team and technical wrestlers of all time, having won tag team championships for various promotions and inspiring many duos from later generations.

Eaton's sister, Debbie Eaton Lewis, confirmed her brother's death on Facebook, though a cause of death is unknown as of Thursday morning.

"I never wanted to have to post this but my Little Brother Beautiful Bobby Eaton passed away last night," Lewis posted Thursday morning. "When i find out all the details i will post them. Bobby was the kindest, loving person you would ever meet. I loved him so much and going to miss him."

Lewis confirmed Eaton was found dead by his daughter, Taryn, who had also lost her mother "a little over a month ago."

Numerous wrestlers and wrestling promotions shared tributes to Eaton after news of his passing Thursday morning.
