Former NFL defensive linemen Glenn Foster has died while in police custody.
According to TMZ, the former New Orleans Saints player was arrested just days ago in Alabama, his December 6 death confirmed by the Pickens County Medical Examiner, per NOLA.com.
The circumstances around Foster's death have not been made public. Local authorities say an investigation into the 31-year-old's death is underway.
Jail records show Foster was arrested on Saturday (December 4) on several charges including reckless endangerment, resisting arrest, and attempting to elude. Documents show he was rebooked the next day on December 5 for simple assault and robbery.
The Alabama State Bureau of Investigation is leading the investigation into Foster's death, according to reports.
