Colin Cowherd Predicts Which NFL Teams Will Make the Playoffs

In Colin Cowherd’s ‘Best for Last' Segment on Monday, Colin plays ‘PLAYOFF or WAY OFF?’, as Colin predicts which NFL teams have the potential to make the playoffs and which ones will not be able to overcome very challenging schedules.

 Notable takes:

Cowboys – “WAY OFF, I know the division is easy but three of their first five games are against Brady, Burrow, and Matthew Stafford. The schedule is not brutal but they’ll probably be off to a slow start. This is a team that lost two of their top three receivers in Amari Cooper and Cedrick Wilson. It’s remarkable how many people are ignoring that they lost Cedrick Wilson who is one of the better no. 3’s in the NFL. They get a scheduling break in terms of ease of it, but September is tough.”
Packers – “WAY OFF, sneaky tough schedule. I think Minnesota wins the division. They have the toughest five-game stretch in the league, on the road for four of the five games starting in Week 5, and they have five primetime games so they’ll have to play later than scheduled. They got a really bad break in terms of time. They get fewer days off, less rest, and some of their best players are older so I don’t think it was a great schedule for them.”
49ers: “I don’t like their schedule at all, I think they’re way off. In the middle of the schedule in succession they face Mahomes, Stafford, Herbert, and Kyler Murray. They face nine elite quarterbacks and they’re not sure what they are at quarterback. I thought their schedule was brutal.”
