Watch Colin Cowherd release his final 2023 NFL Mock Draft on the first ten picks on Thursday’s Draft.
1. Carolina Panthers: Bryce Young, QB, Alabama
“The Panthers have used eight different quarterbacks over the last five seasons. They’re going to stabilize the position and get Bryce Young. They built a staff that is very quarterback friendly.”
2. Houston Texans: Jalen Carter, DT, Georgia
“He’s the best player I saw, and their defense was pathetic against the rush, last in the league. They have a defensive head coach and 12 picks. I think he fixes the defense this year, and next year goes and gets a quarterback.”
3. Arizona Cardinals: Will Anderson, OLB, Alabama
“They need people up-front in that division where you’ve got Kyle Shanahan and McVay, you gotta have players up-front. They allowed 52 touchdowns last year, only second to the Bears. There’s certainly an argument that he’s the best edge rusher.”
4. Indianapolis Colts: Will Levis, QB, Kentucky
“They’ve had Matt Ryan—unathletic, average arm. They’ve had Philip Rivers— unathletic, old, OK arm. Levis gives them a little bit of Andrew Luck: bright, athletic, can move, nice arm. If you squint you can see a little Andrew Luck.”
5. Seattle Seahawks: Tyree Wilson, OLB, Texas Tech
“Is he ready to play? I don’t know, but that last time they had a double-digit sack guy in Seattle was Frank Clark and that was five years ago. Pete Carroll’s best teams at USC and Seattle had great edge rushers, and I think that’s their pick.”
6. Detroit Lions: Christian Gonzalez, CB, Oregon
“He’s a physical specimen. Last year they were atrocious against the pass. They had bad corners, third-worst pass defense. They just traded their former no. 3 overall pick Jeff Okudah.”
7. Las Vegas Raiders: Devon Witherspoon, CB, Illinois
“They have a BAD secondary, they need a corner. They have Garoppolo now and can get a Max Duggan later at quarterback.”
8. Atlanta Falcons: Bijon Robinson, RB, Texas
“Offensive coach, they’ve got their tight end, they have good tackles, a young running back fills the bill. It will help Desmond Ridder or the QB next year. I’ve been told he is as clean as any draft pick, a little LaDainian Tomlinson.”
9. Chicago Bears: Peter Skoronski, OT, Northwestern
“He’s the best offensive lineman. He can play guard, tackle, and probably play center. Justin Fields was the most sacked quarterback in the league.”
10. Philadelphia Eagles: Jaxon Smith-Njigba, WR, Ohio State
“Who was complaining about not getting the ball? AJ Brown. Howie Roseman will want to protect themselves and get the only receiver with a first-round grade.”
