Colin Cowherd: “Chris Paul to the Lakers rumors are heating up… Who’s running this place?? The last thing in the world the Lakers need is another old star who gives you 53 games. It would be a mess in Los Angeles. I saw this headline— and by the way, is this LeBron’s people putting it out there? Trying to create inertia, steam, and momentum? ‘CHRIS PAUL’S DREAM OF PLAYING WITH THE LAKERS’ says the headline. So what? They’re not Disneyland. Lakers aren’t into making your dreams come true. I once dreamed of being George Clooney, who gives a rip??” (Full Segment Above)
Watch Colin Cowherd laugh off Chris Paul to Lakers rumors, with reports surfacing that the 38-year-old free agent’s name will be attached to LeBron James and the Lakers this offseason.
Paul is a future first ball Hall of Fame and is just one year removed from his last All-Star appearance in 2021/2022, but he’s posted the lowest scoring seasons of his career in back-to-back years (14.7, 13.9), and hasn’t played in more than 70 games in any season since 2015/2016.
Check out the segment above as Colin mocks reports that Paul’s ‘dream’ is to play for the Lakers, saying the Lakers aren’t ‘Disneyland’ and certainly won’t be making anyone’s dream come true.
