LaVar Arrington on Drew Brees: 'He's Not As Popular As He Thinks He Is'

Brady Quinn: “So he’s not really wanted by NBC, he’s not really wanted by the Saints, maybe he will end up with Fox, but that a tough pill to swallow if you’re a first-ballot future Hall of Famer and you’re not getting any love right now.”

Jonas Knox: “Drew Brees’ handling of all this is so weird. He can’t accept the fact that maybe he’s not the best at something anymore and he’s just really struggling with that. The whole acting out and the Twitter passive-aggressiveness is just weird for a first-ballot Hall of Famer.”

LaVar Arrington: “Or maybe he’s acting out because that’s what he’s used to feeling. He’s just not as popular as he thinks he is, he’s not as loved as he thinks he is, and he acts out when it doesn’t go the way he would like for it to go. He’s reaching out and he’s crying out for attention.”

Listen to LaVar Arrington, Brady Quinn, and Jonas Knox discuss Drew Brees’ withering role in the NFL news cycle this week, as news of Bree's exodus from NBC after one year paired with an awkward rejection from the Saints on rumors of a possible Brees comeback made the future Hall of Fame QB into somewhat of a pariah.

Listen to the guys of Two Pros and a Cup of Joe explain why Brees’ actions are making him look like he’s crying out for attention, and someone who is just bitter about their current predicament.
