You know who that is this year? The Rams. Star offensive coach with a Super Bowl, star quarterback who threw for 6,000 yards [including playoffs] a year and a half ago, star defensive lineman, one star weapon—Cooper Kupp, and a very good linebacker, Ernest Jones. How are they a five-win team? They’re young in the secondary, so are the Chiefs. They’ve only got one notable linebacker, so do the Chiefs. Edge rushers, young and unproven—that's what the Chiefs were last year. There are three things the Rams have that generally means you’re going to win games: great coach/great quarterback—check. They spend their money on the right pieces—check: Cooper Kupp, defensive tackle, offensive tackles. They’re still elite at head coach, defensive tackle, quarterback, and have one weapon. I don’t know how people view them as a five-win team. Their defense has arguably the best defensive lineman, a very good linebacker in Ernest Jones, young all over the backfield—so were the Chiefs. In a division where they should beat Arizona twice, and in the weaker NFC. I’m not being a homer here, I don’t understand this five-win Rams talk. McVay, Stafford, Aaron Donald, Cooper Kupp...
